The Giver book was a horrible book. I would rate it 3.5 out of 10. I didn't like the giver because it was very boring. The people lived in a messed up town. The thing I hatted most was the laws for the town. For example you cant have a bike until you are nine years old. I think the people who make the rules should have some faith in the citizens and let them lead a life of their own.
The parts of the book that I would change is everything. Who would wanna live in a town like the one in the book. I think that Lois Lowry needs some common sense so she can tell the difference between a regular town and a messed up town.
